TWO models of Dimplex electric heaters are being recalled because of a fault which might cause a fire.
The Dimplex SuperHeater models ROF24TI and ROF24ECC - with batch numbers between 000 and 377 - may have a component fault which could lead to overheating of the connections of the power terminal.
"As with any fault in an electrical component, there may be a risk of fire," the manufacturer, Hagemeyer Brands Australia, said in a statement today.
It recommends that anyone with an affected heater turn it off and disconnect it from the electricity supply immediately.
The batch number can be found between the two large wheels, opposite the control panel, but owners are advised to let the heater cool down before lifting it up to read the number.
Owners are asked to ring the toll-free hotline on 1800 224 026 or visit the website www.hagemeyer.com.au/dimplexrecall.
