Play yards, stud sensors recalled

Various retailers are recalling Simplicity play yards sold from November 2005 to January 2009 because one of the rails can collapse unexpectedly, creating a fall or entrapment hazard for young children.

The play yard bear the ''Simplicity'' logo and include a bassinet, changing table and mobile. Affected model numbers, which can be found on a sticker on one of the legs underneath the play yard, are 5500DRM, 5500WDS, 5501FEL, 5502MON, 5520PRO, 5550HAN, 5700MAN, and 5750MIR. They were sold for about $100 at Burlington Coat Factory stores and online at babiesrus.com, target.com and kohls.com.

Consumers should stop using them immediately and return them to their place of purchase for a refund or replacement. For photos, visit cpsc.gov.

Stanley Works is recalling stud sensors sold between November 2007 and January 2009 because they may fail to calibrate properly and detect AC wires, posing a shock hazard to users.
