Cordless brad nailers recalled

Washington, D.C. — DEWALT is recalling about 14,000 cordless brad nailers because the nailer can operate with the safety lock engaged, when the trigger is not pulled, and when the contact trip is depressed.

The unexpected shooting of a nail can pose a serious injury hazard to users, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall involves the DEWALT DC608 18 Volt Cordless 2" 18 gauge Straight Brad Nailer with date codes 200728 through 200821. Made in Mexico, it was sold a wholesale distributors and retailers from last October through May.
