Washington, D.C. -- About 36,000 Harry Potter bookends made in Hong Kong are being recalled because their painted surface contains too much lead, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced.
This recall involves poly-stone bookends painted and shaped in the characters of the Harry Potter book series. Bookend characters include Harry Potter, Hedwig and Hermione, and Crookshank.
