11,000 Children's Play Sets Recalled

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling about 11,000 Adventure Play Sets and Create N Adventure Wooden Play Sets because of a fall hazard.

The play sets are distributed by Backyard Leisure of Pittsburgh, Kansas. The company is recalling the play sets because the hangers that hold the chains for the gliders can break and children can fall and injure themselves.

The models included in the recall are Pathfinder Swing Set, Model 65008; Conqueror Swing Set, Model 65208; Cedar Ridge Wooden Swing Set, Model 30008 and Windsor Wooden Swing Set, Model 30108.

The play sets have bee sold in Wal-Mart stores nationwide. Consumers who have purchased one of the recalled play sets should immediately remove the gliders from the swing sets and contact Backyard Leisure to receive free replacement glider hangers and repair instructions.

The company has received 114 reports of the glider hangers breaking, including three reports of minor injuries.
