WASHINGTON, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Thane International Inc. portable steam cleaners due to a burn hazard.
Importer Thane International Inc. of La Quinta, Calif., received 27 reports of burns to hands and fingers from steam escaping from the The H20 hand-held steam cleaners.
The steam cleaners were a bonus item included with purchase of an H20 mop, CPSC said.
The hand cleaners are white and dark gray with "H20" and "M" printed on them. Only steam cleaners with "produce codes" from 071025 through 080324 are involved in the recall.
Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled steam cleaners and contact Thane for a $30 coupon toward the purchase of a Thane product or a replacement steam cleaner.
