Atlantis brand smoked fish dip recalled

The following recall has been announced because the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems:

Neco Foods of Lantana, Fla., is recalling Atlantis Brand Smoked Fish Dip. No illnesses have been reported, according to the company. The products were sold to retail establishments, club stores and foodservice distributors in Florida. The recall involves Atlantis Brand Smoked Fish Dip:

_ 7 ounce, UPC 0 3469611124 5, with an expiration date of April 23, 2009. Sold through retail stores.

_ 32 ounce, UPC 0 3469611134 4, with an expiration date of April 23, 2009. Sold through club stores.

_ 5 pound, no UPC code, with an expiration date of April 23, 2009. Foodservice distribution, not for retail sale.
