Washington, D.C. — Lithium Ion batteries used in wireless conference phones are being recalled tonight because the battery packs can overheat, posing a fire or burn hazard.

Distributor Polycom, Inc., of Pleasanton, Calif., received one report of overheating causing minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.

The batteries, made in China, were sold nationwide from last december to May of this year.
